What If Your Iced Coffee Gave Back? Dunkin’s $1 Initiative Turns Every Sip Into Purpose

Who wouldn’t love to have an iced-coffee when you know it can be a part of something meaningful and uplifting.

On June 18, 2025, Dunkin’ celebrated National Iced Coffee Day with a mission to turn every sip into support & uplift for children battling hunger or illness.

As reported by FOX8 News, $1 from every iced coffee or cold brew sold was donated to the Joy in Childhood Foundation.

“It’s a simple idea that’s changing lives: drink joy in, we’ll give joy out,” says Victor Carvalho, Dunkin’ Franchisee and Joy in Childhood Foundation Board Chairman.

Every sip on June 18 goes further than you think – helping kids and families in your own neighborhood feel seen and supported.”

The Joy in Childhood Foundation helps children battling hunger and illness. According to Dunkin’, last year’s Iced Coffee Day raised $2.1 million, and those funds supported hospital programs like therapy dogs, art activities, food banks, and prom nights for kids in care.

“Absolutely love when it’s for a good cause,” said a customer at a Dunkin’ store.
“I don’t even drink coffee but I’ll get one just to support a good cause. Love this,” emphasised another customer.

This year, Dunkin’ has even launched a line of limited-edition merch at ShopDunkin.com, where 100% of proceeds also supported the foundation. The collection included fun throwbacks, like donut pool floats, DunKings tracksuits, and even wedding-themed gifts.

Since 2006, the Joy in Childhood Foundation has awarded over $60 million in grants across the U.S., focusing on hundreds of children’s hospitals, local nonprofits, and community programs.

One thing is for sure, Dunkin’s go-to Iced Coffee has helped bring a greater impact in people’s lives than simply fueling their mornings.

Just like this moment that caught attention online where a coffee lover shared they had just spent $13 at Starbucks for two drinks, only to learn about Dunkin’s Iced Coffee Day later.

“Why am I just seeing this now after spending $13 at Starbucks for two?”

It brings up a thoughtful question:

Does Dunkin’s initiative make you want to reconsider where your coffee dollars go?
