While she was away, a swarm of bees suddenly settled down on the back of her car, making a buzzing sound that captured passers’ attention. The cars slowed down and people were amazed by what they had just seen.

When a National park ranger, Tom, 41, drove past it and saw the swarm of bees, he got worried that someone might get hurt. So he stopped to help out. He contacted the Bees association and immediately they came to round up the swarm.

When Carol realised that the drama is over, she drove back to her house. But a couple of bees were still following her.

Her theory was that the queen was trapped in her car and the swarm were following her. “Apparently, bees can swarm at this time of the year and it is a very strong instinct for them to follow the queen,” she said.
