In 2015, a homeless man found $2,400 on the street and returned it to the police. When offered a $5,000 reward for his honesty, he refused it saying "All I want is a job. This money could rather be given to others."


Man in his 60s found a sum of $2,400 on the street around Langford, B.C., when he turned it to the police. The owner of the lost money was later found but people started a GoFundMe campaign for the homeless man's honesty.

One of the constable decided to make efforts to track down the homeless man after noticing how he has touched the hearts of people with his honesty. When he met him, he told the homeless man about the fund organized for him, to which he refused to accept it. Rather, he would like to have a job.
