Twenty years later, this husband decided to end the silent treatment. A TV show, TV Hokkaido, portrayed the first time this husband exchanged words with his wife after 20 whole years.

After a slight hesitation, Otou finally spoke to his wife, apologizing for how his silence must have hurt her and expressing his gratitude for sticking beside him for two decades, which finally came to an end that day.
