Wrestling Youtuber, Maven, Helps a 13-Year-Old Stroke Survivor Fulfil His Dream of Meeting Cody Rhodes

In this day and age, the internet gets a bad rep (and unsurprisingly so, in light of recent events). However, it should not be forgotten that, ultimately, it can be a force for good.

A shining example of this occurred recently when former WWE superstar, Maven Huffman, put out a story on his YouTube channel about a young fan named Luke.

Luke, 11 years old, is a stroke survivor after having overcome one at just 5 years of age. Of course, as many will know, overcoming a stroke can be a painful experience and for a young man just wanting to enjoy his childhood, it poses numerous difficulties.

One of Luke's biggest enjoyments is the word of professional wrestling, particularly the WWE. His hero, Cody Rhodes, is a WWE Champion with an overwhelmingly positive track record of taking care of his fans. Maven, who admitted to not knowing Cody (given Maven had left the WWE around about the same time Cody was breaking into the business in the mid-2000s), wanted to use his platform for good by sharing Luke's story as told by his father, Jake, with the intention of making Cody aware of his young fan.

Maven asked fans to share the story to improve the chances of Cody seeing it and, thankfully, he did just that - formally inviting Luke to join him at a WWE event for a meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with his hero.

Once more: the internet can indeed be a force for good.
