Tommy Edison takes a positive and humorous approach to his YouTube channel, describing the "best" things about being blind.
"People always say, 'God, it must suck to be blind,' or 'My God, how do you do it?' But you know what? There are plenty of good things about being blind," he says.

Here’s the list he lays out in front of his audience of 727K subscribers:
1. I go on airplanes first.
2. I get VIP treatment at amusement parks.
3. Every single woman I've ever been with is a 10.
4. Never have to worry about drinking and driving.
Tommy has been blind since birth due to a condition called retinopathy of prematurity. He launched his YouTube channel on October 10, 2011.

5. I don't have to watch somebody age.
6. I ride the train for half fare. A lot of times, I even ride for free, they just won't come and ask for my ticket. They'll just walk right by me. "Better not disturb the blind guy. Shh."
7. I can get a handicap parking sticker.
8. I don't have to do my own lawn.

9. My electric bill's lower than yours. I mean I don't have lights on all day, right?
10. I got out of paying the 3 bucks extra for 3D once.
11. I got out of gym all through school. It was awesome.
12. I get free directory assistance.
13. I have fewer bills. No car insurance, no car payment.
14. There's no race. I don't know from beauty. I know people from what comes out of their mouth, and what's in their heart. That's how I know people.
15. My hearing is so much better than everybody else's. In fact, all my senses are better than yours.

16. Nope, it's not a myth. It's all true.
17. People come up to me on the street, and they'll just hand me a sandwich sometimes.
18. Sometimes, even money! "Oh my god, you poor thing, here, here's 10 dollars. Atleast they tell me it's 10." Then I go into a store with it, and they go, "You owe me 9 bucks."
