Married Couple in China Look So Alike That People Are Wondering If They’re Long-Lost Twins

We may see couples who dress like twins, holding hands, and walking on the streets. But this couple has taken the “twinning” aspect to a whole another level by starting the “We’re married but we look like twins” concept.

Liang Caiyu, the wife, and He Xiansheng, the husband, are both in their twenties. When they first met each other on a blind date, they didn’t realize that they looked alike. The couple, however, got married six months after their first meeting.

“It was only after living together for several years that I slowly realized we resembled one another more. For the past two years, we’ve been together almost around the clock, working, eating, and resting together. I guess that’s why we’ve become increasingly alike.”

Soon after getting married, the couple co-founded a herbal medicine shop in 2023. The husband would manage formulating herbal soups and tea blends, while the wife would manage promotion and advertising.

Aiming to boost their online promotion, the wife came up with the idea of a “unique look,” where the husband would be required to put on a dress, wig, and makeup to mirror the look of his wife. While at first the husband was hesitant, he soon came around to the idea after witnessing his wife’s dedication and intensive research on content ideas and video creation, even during late nights.

“If it helps the business, I’ll give it a try,” he said.

At first, their herbal brand was reaching a mediocre audience, but they soon started gaining recognition and followers after people noticed their unusual and unique look.

It has also sparked a new debate on whether they should do a DNA test, just to make sure that they are not long-lost siblings.
