Notre Dame celebrated its first wedding in 30 years for the kind carpenter who helped rebuild the cathedral after 2019 fire.
Martin Lorentz and his bride Jade, got married on October 25, after the cathedral received special permission from Paris Archbishop Laurent Ulrich for the wedding.

The last wedding hosted in Notre Dame was in 1995 after which it stopped hosting private ceremonies.
In 2019, when the cathedral caught fire, Martin spent three years in rebuilding it and it was successfully reopened to the public in 2024.
"I want to share my love, our love, with the whole world, with all those who need it. I just want to say that this is the most beautiful day of my life. I don't think I can say anything else," Martin told France Info.
