A retired policeman in 2019 was admitted to a hospital in a bed next to another retired policeman. Their names? Geraint Woolford. They were the only two people in the UK named Geraint Woolford. Speak of coincidence, as they aren’t related or haven’t met before. But both are former policemen and were in that hospital at the same time and in the exact same room.

Geraint Woolford, 77 years old from Llandudno, Wales, had a strange day in 2009, when he checked into a hospital for a hip replacement surgery. He was admitted into a room of two beds. Shortly after, a 52-year-old man, from Ruthin, Wales, entered the room, for a partial knee replacement surgery.

As they began chatting, Geraint realized that not only did this other man was also a retired policeman like himself, but also did he have the same name, “Geraint Woolford.”
A following investigation by The Telegraph on the name confirmed that there are only two people in the UK with that name.
