In 1988, Mao Yin (2 years old) was abducted and sold to another couple for $845. His biological parents, Li Jingzhi and Mao Zhenjing, spent the next three decades searching for him. His mother would even appear on TV shows, hoping that somehow her son would see her on TV.
In 2020, after 32 years, police managed to get a tip that a man in Sichuan had bought a child in the late 1980s, that resembled Mao. To confirm his identity, investigators used facial recognition technology and DNA testing , that proved he was indeed the missing son that his parents are desperately looking for.

"This is the best gift I have ever got on Mother’s Day,” said the mother, during a press conference. "I don't want to be separated from him anyone," she said after seeing her long-lost son.
