A car parks outside the Waffle House when an elderly man is seen coming out and trying to cross the parking lot. The next moment, three women from the staff rush toward him with bright smiles, hold his hand, and gently walk with him.

Backstory: One of the waitresses emphasized that they hadn't seen the elderly man in a while, but he used to visit the Waffle House frequently along with his wife. One of the reasons for his absence was moving into a home.

The woman who uploaded the video has claimed to be the elderly man’s granddaughter. “This is my sweet grandpa. He and my grandmother always frequented here! She’s moved into a home now, but I’m glad to see he’s back and feeling all the love.”

The joy on the staff’s faces when greeting the elderly man is priceless and holds the emotional depth to touch viewers' hearts. This reminds of the teen waitress who helped this elderly cut his ham at a Waffle house. Guess, it's time to visit a Waffle house soon?

2. Widowed goose finds love again, after posting an ad on Facebook.

Blossom, the widowed goose, lost her partner Bud in 2022 and has been lonely since. Seeing her loneliness, Dorie Tammen, a cemetery manager, posted an ad on Facebook that said, “Seeking a life partner for Blossom.” Out of the responses, she found one male goose named Frankie, who was also in need of a partner. When the two met, they hit it off instantly and have never left each other’s side since.

Love proves that it requires no distance, just two hearts beating to the same rhythm.

The story behind it: Blossom and her late partner used to spend time on the pond in Riverside Cemetery in Iowa. Now that Blossom has found love again, she has even inspired a shirt printing company to create designs with phrases like “Finding love in Iowa. It’s easy if you are a goose.”

In 2016, Dan Peterson’s wife had just passed away. He was severely depressed and didn’t find meaning in living. However, he would still go grocery shopping for himself in Georgia, where he first met Norah, the 4-year-old girl.

The conversation between them went like this:

“Hi, old person…”

“Well hello, little lady! And how old are you today?”

“A hug?!” asked Dan. “Absolutely!” he continued.

Norah’s mother, Tara Wood, later found out that the elderly man had been suffering from a broken heart and that sleeping through the night had been a challenge for him. But Dan confided that since the moment he met Norah, he had been sleeping peacefully again.

Over the years, Dan and Norah grew closer, celebrating birthdays, holidays, and other occasions together. They would meet at least once a week with countless hugs.

Dan passed away in 2020 at the age of 86. But the mention of his “Dear friend Norah Wood” was noticed at the end of a long list of his children and grandchildren in his obituary.

Our lonely, elderly generation are often waiting for someone to call or chat with them. And we can support them with simple acts of kindness. Just like when a caregiver arranged for this WWII veteran to receive not one, but over 2500 birthday cards on his 100th birthday; or when this widowed elderly man was gifted a pillow with a print of his late wife's photograph on it. Paying for an elderly's McDonald's meal at the counter? It's a simplest way to pay kindness forward and show some love.

Based in Middleborough, Massachusetts, the Coffee Milano Café posted a sign at the entrance saying customers would get free coffee if they danced into the shop.

“Want a FREE COFFEE?? Walk in and give us your BEST dance moves for 5 seconds!!”

The coffee shop later shared the amazing results of one advertisement that completely changed the vibe of the café. Here's their Facebook video that shows it all.

Josh Rashid, the café owner, later told Today that he got the idea to put up the ad after seeing a pizza shop do the same deal in return for free pizza slices.

“Life isn’t easy. Sometimes you just see something that puts the greatest smile on your face, and it brings tears to your eyes,” he said. “Life is short. Having coffee and dance makes it all better.”

5. 82-year-old, cat-loving Chinese man wants to leave his inheritance to strangers who can adopt his cat, so that his cat lives happily after he dies.

The elderly man, named Long, is seeking strangers to give away his flat and savings, on the condition that they provide unconditional care for his beloved cat, Xianba, especially after he dies.

Mr. Long has no children of his own. The cat has been his whole world since his wife passed away decades ago. He hasn’t found the right person yet, but his attempts have left the internet in disbelief. Still, there are some who are willing to adopt his cat without taking his money.

One person even said she could relate to his situation. “I also once considered the same question. I do not know anyone who I can trust with my cat, so the best way is to give money to the adopter because I do not want my cat to be their burden,” she said.
